ODESSA L. WASHINGTON

Odessa Louise Washington, 52, of the 1100 block of Virginia Ave., died June 1, 1996, at her home.

Mrs. Washington, a native of Norfolk County, was the widow of David Washington.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Cannon of Chesapeake, Teresa Washington and Ebony Washington, both of Portsmouth; her mother, Mary Spencer Shepard of Portsmouth; two sisters, Betty Myers of Portsmouth and Jennie Watson of Chesapeake; two brothers, James Spencer and Wallace Spencer, both of Fayettsville, N.C.; four grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Daniel Baltimore in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 2 p.m. today. The family will be at 2424 Cutherell St., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral.
