Arthur L. Colbert, of the 800 block of Easley St., died May 29, 1996.
Mr. Colbert, a personnel clerk, worked for Walter Reed Medical Center Hospital for 15 years. He was a native of Norfolk. He was a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant and received a Certificate of Achievement for his service in Frankfort, Germany.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary Colbert, Barbara Colbert, both of Camden, N.J., Claudette Cooney of Buffalo, N.Y., Delores Clemons of Norfolk; a brother, Dudley Colbert Sr. of Virginia Beach.; two aunts, Gertrude Corbett of Norfolk, Louise Gray of Smithfield, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Thomas Hart at St. Mark United Church of Christ, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 909 Nelson St., Norfolk, Thursday at noon for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge.
