Mary Riggan Ray, 86, of Portsmouth, died June 3, 1996.
Mrs. Ray, a native of Portsmouth, was retired from the Simmons Company in Norfolk as an executive secretary. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Paul's Alumni Assoc., and the Maryview Hospital Auxiliary. She was the widow of John P. Ray.
Survivors include two cousins, Elizabeth B. Cunningham of Oak Brook, Ill., and Ann B. Wilson of Newport News.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph S. Slowik. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. A Christian wake service will be held today at 7 p.m. at Foster Funral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Restoration Fund of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
