REBECCA A. SWANSON

Rebecca Ann Swanson, 31, of the 900 block of Penhook Court, died June 3, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Swanson was a native of Midland, Mich. She was a member of The NOB, Commodore Levy Chapel in Norfolk. Mrs. Swanson was a vice president of the Lupus Foundation, Tidewater Chapter; member of the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine of North America and was presently a member of its pagentry as a page; and a member of Order of Amaranth, Mace Court. She attended Central Michigan University and Old Dominion University.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Roy Swanson of Virginia Beach; her mother, Helene Auerbach Silverman and her father, Edward L. Silverman both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Mark D. and Bruce J. Silverman of Virginia Beach; and her maternal grandfather, Charles Auerbach of Pembroke Pines, Fla.

A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk by Rabbi Aaron Margolin. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Quantico National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Mark Silverman, 4737 Goldeneye Court, Virginia Beach, on Friday, June 7, 1996. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation, Tidewater Chapter or the Jewish National Fund. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk will be handling the arrangements.
