CORRECTION/CLARIFICATION: ***************************************************************** There were some errors in Tuesday's special section, Scholastic Achievement '96. In a story about the top winners: Kathy Chilton is the mother, not the stepmother, of April Stuart, who won the top scholarship. Also, runner-up Dana Willner of Norfolk Academy will attend Washington University, not Washington College. Katherine Flood McKenzie of Northeastern High School, in Elizabeth City, will be attending Duke University. In the section about Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, the pictures of Rebecca Pendleton and Ade Patton Jr. were reversed. They appear correctly here. Correction published Wednesday, June 5, 1996 on page A2 of THE VIRGINIAN-PILOT. Photos Graphic Gregory J. Peterson Amber R.
