MANY DESERVE CREDIT FOR PA RECOVERY

I read with interest the article about Pat Griffin and her leadership at Princess Anne High School.

I commend Ms. Griffin for her exemplary leadership following the fire at Princess Anne. I'm sure she would agree that without the Herculean efforts of many dedicated teachers (some of whom lost everything in the fire) and the cooperation of the student body, recovering from this adversity would have been impossible.

I was disappointed that the article did not include more examples of the remarkable achievements of Princess Anne students this year. For example, the forensics team made school history by winning both the district and regional championships and going on to place fourth in state competition.

I was fortunate enough to attend the culmination of this success recently when the forensics team performed individual events in the little-black-box theater at Celebration Station. This theater, built by Nancy Dodd and her theater students, is another feat performed by PA students. Watching these talented young people perform seven different forensic events made us all realize how hard their coaches worked to build a successful team.

My hat is off to everyone who worked tirelessly to bring Princess Anne out of the ashes this year!
