Two Norfolk residents won awards in the 1996 Stockley Gardens Spring Arts Festival in Norfolk in May. Elizabeth Reid won the Norfolk Artist Award and the Best Booth Award for her sculptures. Martha Watson of Maury High School won second place in the Futures Awards of Student Exhibition for photography.
Peter M. Huber of Norfolk, an attorney with Willcox and Savage in Norfolk, was elected president of the Virginia Opera Board of Directors at its annual meeting in May at Westover Plantation in Richmond. by CNB
