Virginia Symphony Music Director JoAnn Falletta has signed a new three-year contract with the orchestra, keeping her at the podium through the year 2000.
Falletta just completed her fifth season with the 77-member orchestra. She'll lead the symphony in a Fourth of July concert at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater.
Also, the symphony has named Wes Kenney associate conductor. Kenney is currently music director of the San Francisco State University Symphony. by CNB
