Louis A. Schachtner
VIRGINIA BEACH - Louis Andrew Schachtner, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 1996.
Mr. Schachtner was retired from the U.S. Navy following 20 years of service and also retired from the Little Creek Public Works Center.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Louise Schachtner; three sons, Louis A. Schachtner Jr. of Virginia Beach, Dan E. Schachtner of Alexandria, Terry Lee Schachtner of Baltimore; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Schachtner of Virginia Beach; his mother, Alice Rebecca Schachtner of Townsend, Del.; two sisters, Ruth Callis of Port Orange, Fla., Helen Wood of Richmond; and four grandchildren, Courtney, Kellyn, Eric, and Lindsay Schachtner.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bonney Road Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home by the Rev.
