Polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuesday, June 11. Election Day.

Virginia Republicans hold a primary to choose a U.S. Senate candidate.

Any Virginia registered voter is eligible to vote in the primary.

If you are not sure if you are registered or if you want to check your polling place, call your local registrar or the State Board of Elections at (800) 552-9745.

The campaigns expect about 400,000 Virginians - 13 percent to 15 percent of the state's registered voters - to vote in the primary. The Republican nominee will run against the Democrats' nominee.
