George Herbert Talbot, 84, of 801 Cabarrus St., died Friday June 7, 1996.
A native of Ontario, Canada, Mr. Talbot was a son of the late George V. and Edna Elliott Talbot. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Upchurch Belch Talbot. Mr. Talbot was a retired supervisor with the Cris Craft Boat Co. He was a member of the Edenton Baptist Church and the Unanimity Masonic Lodge (NU)7.
Surviving other than his wife is his daughter, Roberta Jean Dahlstrom of Kentwood, Mich.; and a son, Robert L. Talbot of Palos Park, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Sarah B. Jackson of Tyner, N.C.; and three stepsons, E.L. Belch Jr. of Port Orange, Fla., John M. Belch, Thomas U. Belch of Tyner; a brother, Elliot S. Talbot of Poplar Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Evans Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Kenneth Word, the Rev. Jim Hyatt and the Rev. Don English.
