Lawrence Pirrone, 73, of the 300 block of Jacqueline Ave., died June 7, 1996, in his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. Pirrone. Mr. Pirrone was a native of Norfolk and resided in Virginia Beach. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Battle of the Bulge. He was the founder and sole operator of the Emergency Plumbing Co. He was an apprentice plumber with John Lockhart, later worked with Herbert Frizzell and retired after working for Cooke and Neff Realty.
Survivors include four daughters, Edith R. Davis of Chesapeake, Matea E. Leon of Virginia Beach, Laurene F. Wilke of Virginia Beach, and Linda P. Marcano of Virginia Beach; as well as five sisters and a brother; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Following the entombment, the family will assemble at Jacqueline Avenue, Virginia Beach.
