Howard E. ``Boo'' Baskerville, 41, died June 6, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mr. Baskerville, a native of Brunswick County, Va., retired from the city of Portsmouth's Sanitation Department as a truck driver after 11 years of service. He was a former member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Brodnax, Va.
Survivors include two daughters, Tarhesha Hargrove and Ericka Hicks, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Swawnie M. Baskerville of Portsmouth, Dorothy Wilson of Brodnax; three brothers, Curtis N. Baskerville and Eddie B. Baskerville, both of Portsmouth, Saint Baskerville of White Plains, Va.; a very devoted loving friend of 20 years, Ernestine M. Hargrove, and a son-in-law, Junious Hicks, both of Portsmouth; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming in Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Singleton Family Cemetery, Brodnax. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The family will be at the home of his sister, Swawnie M. Baskerville, 2712 Arcadia Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral.
