Irma Underwood Jarboe, 67, of 261 Casey Road, Forsyth, Mo., died June 7, 1996.
A native of Phoebus, Va., she was a daughter of the late Peter T. and Irma Ridder Underwood. She was an Episcopalian. Her hobby was knitting sweaters and afghans, which she generously gave to her family and friends. Her knitting highlight was getting a blue ribbon at the Virginia State Fair for her afghan work. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, giving her love to all. She will be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lee Jarboe; a son and his wife, James William and Myra Clark of Nixa, Mo.; three sisters, Mae Sheffer, Frances Holland, Alice McGahee, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Billy Williams Underwood of Nags Head, N.C., Thomas G. Underwood of Suffolk; and two grandchildren, Jayme Clark Herman and Grey Clark.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home, by the Rev. H. Vance Mann III. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Community Hospice of America-Trilakes, 1756 Bee Creek Road, Branson, Mo. 65616.
