Harry Chris Coureas, 85, of the 7600 block of Leafwood Drive, died June 8, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Coureas was a native of Morphou, Cypress. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Briola Coureas; a daughter, Cynthia E. Coureas of Norfolk; two sons, Donald J. Coureas and his wife, Loretta of Virginia Beach, J. Chris Coureas and his wife, Patricia of New York, N.Y.; two sisters, Rebecca Demetriou and Dorothy Tampas of Nicosia, Cyprus; three grandsons, John A. Coureas and Justin M. Coureas, both of Virginia Beach, and Christopher T. Coureas of New York, N.Y.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 11, 1996 in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Constantine Rogakos. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. There will be a Trisagion Service, Monday at 7 p.m. in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 7220 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23505.
