Marsha Murray Billings, 51, of 116 Brandon Lane, died June 7, 1996, at home.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., she was a graduate of Old Dominion University and formerly was bookkeeper for the Walter Cecil Rawls Library and Museum in Courtland, Va. Mrs. Billings was an active member of the James L. Camp Jr. YMCA, president of the Franklin Homemakers Club, and was a volunteer with the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxillary and the High Street Senior Citizens. She was an avid traveller with her husband, Bill, and they were members of the Circumnavigators Club of Washington, D.C. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are her husband, William C. ``Bill'' Billings; her son, Alan W. Billings; her mother, Florence Chapman Murray, all of Franklin; her brother, Robert C. Murray of Chambersburg, Pa. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Patrick Murray.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Bishop Carl McCuiston, the Rev. James M. Smith and the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial of ashes will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Memorial Book Fund at the Ruth Camp Campbell Library, 280 N. College Drive, Franklin, Va. 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
