Buena V. Swain
NORFOLK - Buena Vista Swain, a housewife, of the 2600 block of Middle St., died June 5, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Swain, the widow of Jerry Swain, was a native of Columbia, N.C. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Norfolk and the widows club.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Delores Lamb of Norfolk; a brother, Lorenza D. Holley of Chesapeake; three grandsons, Alexander Stith Jr., Eric C. Stith and Michael Stith; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday by Dr. I. Joseph Williams in Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Monday at 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
