Garland Harry Williams, 74, of the 1600 block of Wapiti Ave., died June 8, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Williams, a native of Norfolk, was retired from civil service at the Norfolk Air Re-Work Facility. He was a member of the Norfolk Moose Lodge No. 39 and the American Legion Post 204 of Norfolk. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Daye Williams; a daughter, Brenda Wurster and her husband, Terry, of Lockport, N.Y.; a sister, Mary Miller of Norfolk; a brother, George Williams of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Kenneth L. Wurster of the U.S. Navy, Sherry A. and Kevin M. Wurster of Lockport.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by Father William J. Dale in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
