CRIME LINE

Police are seeking the public's help in solving these cases:

VIRGINIA BEACH

Two fires at Virginia Beach schools were intentionally set and have caused more than $3 million in damage.

The first fire was at Princess Anne High School in the 4400 Block of Virginia Beach Boulevard on September 1, 1995, about 1:30 a.m.

The second fire was at First Colonial High School in the 1200 block of Mill Dam Road on April 2, 1996, about 12 a.m. The locker room and gymnasium were damaged. A green marble desk pen holder, with the initials IYV, was used to break a window.

PORTSMOUTH

A man tried to cash a stolen income tax refund check at a local bank on April 23.

The check was stolen from a mailbox in the 3700 block of Princeton Place.

A photo was taken of the man when he tried to cash the check. He is described as black, in his mid 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has close-cut hair and a light mustache.

CHESAPEAKE

Butts Road Primary School on Mount Pleasant Road and Great Bridge Primary School on Cedar Road were burglarized on May 17.

Portable radios, used by school personnel, were taken.

Investigators believe the break-ins were committed by juveniles.

SUFFOLK

Several fires have been set in the east end section of Suffolk.

The most recent was set at a house in the 200 block of Charlotte Avenue. It is believed to have been started by two juveniles who were seen near the house. They were described as black and about 13 years old.

HAMPTON

Two men are wanted for maiming and use of a firearm in connection with a shooting in the 3400 block of W. Mercury Blvd. on May 21.

Iniru Dupree, 28, also known as Don or Sean, is described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds.

Andre Dupree, 21, is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds.

The men have been seen in a green Mazda van with Virginia license plate PPL - 2203. They are known to frequent the Coconut Grove Lounge on Princess Anne Road in Norfolk. by CNB
