EVIL ANIMOSITY

Regarding comment by Cal Thomas on the homosexuality law in Colorado (Perspectives, May 28):

Mr. Thomas quoted Justice Scalia as saying that the U.S. Supreme Court's decision regarding the law in Colorado ``imposes'' upon all Americans the pronouncement that animosity toward homosexuality is evil.

Unfortunately, all too often Americans express animosity toward homosexuality in malicious and violent ways.

Such animosity toward humanity is definitely evil. Are Mr. Thomas and Justice Scalia to now argue or imply that homosexuals are not human?

Comments like the one mentioned cause more friction, when Americans should be concerning themselves with efforts to live in relative peace and harmony with one another.
