Randy Lewis Holt, 31, and his wife, Mary Frances Bray Holt, 46, died Saturday, June 8, 1996, along with their beloved dog, Poo Bear.
Mr. Holt, a native of Southampton County, was a Baptist and a truck driver.
Mrs. Holt, a Norfolk native, was a Congregational Christian and a 1966 graduate of Great Bridge High School. Her father was the late Richard Thomas Bray Jr.
Mr. Holt is survived by his parents, Winnifred Turner and Charlie Drew Holt; a sister, Brenda Irene Bridges; four brothers, Charlie D. Holt Jr., Curtis Wayne Holt, Jimmy D. Holt, all of Windsor, and Jack Randolph Holt of Capron.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Philligin Jones; a sister, Joyce A. Gilbert; a son, Charles William Orr; a daughter, Eva Marie Duren, all of Chesapeake; a half sister, Geraldine Breslin; a brother, Richard Lee Bray, both of Florida; and a grandson, Mason Zackery Duren.
A companion funeral service for husband and wife will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, at 11 a.m. Thursday. Randy and Mary Frances will be buried, along with Poo Bear, in Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to Windsor or Chesapeake Volunteer Rescue Squads.
