Malcolm B. Jorgenson
VIRGINIA BEACH - Malcolm Bertil Jorgenson, 86, of the 100 block of Convention Drive, died June 9, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Jorgenson was born in Rockford, Ill. He retired as national sales manager from Evans Products Company after 17 years. He was a member and elder of Providence Presbyterian Church, a member of Rockford Masonic Lodge (NU)102 and a former member of Khedive Temple of the Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bertha Jorgenson; a daughter, Joanne E. Kennedy of Sun City West, Ariz.; two sons, John Malcolm Jorgenson and Emery William Jorgenson, both of Houston, Texas; a sister, Vivian M. Schwab of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Russell William Jorgenson of Portland, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Jorgenson and Elvira Carlson Jorgenson and a brother, Sexton George Jorgenson.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Robin Wooddell. The family will receive friends following the service. The body will be sent to Julian-Poorman-Welte Funeral Home, Rockford, Ill., for a funeral service and burial in Willwood Burial Park. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggest that memorial donations be made to the Building Fund of Providence Presbyterian Church, 5497 Providence Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
