Pearl Midgett Munden, 93, of the 1300 block of E. Norcova Drive, died June 9, 1996, at her residence.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Norfolk. Born in Stumpy Point, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Roland and Estelle Payne Midgett and the wife of the late Carey Wergman Munden.
She is survived by a daughter, Selma M. Underwood of Norfolk; a brother, Harry W. Midgette of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Carole Grissom and Carey Underwood, both of Norfolk; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Old Hollywood Cemetery, Elizabeth City, by the Rev. Donald O'Dey. The family will receive friends at Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, and other times at the home of her daughter. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 419 Glenrock Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
