Jean Louise Carley Owens, 63, of the 8100 block of Tidal Road, the widow of Billy Lee Owens, died Sunday evening, June 9, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Owens was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Roy E. Carley and Pearl Osgood Carley. She was predeceased by her son, Billy Lee Owens Jr.; a brother, Roy E. Carley Jr.; and a sister; Joan Arundel.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail Flanagan of Norfolk, Linda Wilson of Chesapeake and Marlene Grindberg of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Albert Flanagan III, Brandon Hill, Dalton Wilson III and James White Jr.; and several beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and a great-grand-niece.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
