DEBORAH HAZELWOOD CHARTER MANAGER OF PIEDMONT AVIATION

Deborah Hazelwood spends her time ``jet-setting'' for Andy Griffith, Dan Rather and Charlton Heston, just to name a few.

Hazelwood, charter manager of Piedmont Aviation Services, arranges private charter jets in and out of Norfolk. Her busy career keeps her on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week and she thrives on it.

Just recently a midnight call had her making special arrangements for Julio Iglesias, whose plane had a hole in the windshield. ``He had to leave his plane here and I had to find another plane for him to take,'' she said.

She's been asked to find Bojangles' chicken for Wayne Newton and vegetarian dishes for the band REO Speedwagon. Catering, hiring limos and booking hotels are all part of what she does to meet her clients' needs.

In her spare time she collects music, tells jokes and generally has a passion for life. Her fantasy would be to jet around in a Gulfstream V (a luxury private jet) with 12 of her friends.
