EDWARD R. BERRY

Edward R. Berry, 75, died June 11, 1996.

Born in Norfolk County, he was a retired independent painter. He was a lifelong member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 4, lifetime member of American Ex-Prisoners of War, U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a former P.O.W.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Dallas Berry; three daughters, Caroline Standen-Newcombe of Bowie, Md., Amanda Edwina Park of Bowie, Rhonda Fay Wyda of Norfolk; a son, James Winters of Jarret, Va.; a sister, Margaret Berry Tyler of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday by Dr. James Carricker II in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association. Military honors will be accorded.
