The Norfolk Department of Recreation, Parks and General Services assumed responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Lake Wright Golf Course on June 1.
Merve Troyer, owner of Stumpy Lake Golf Inc., will assist the city with the daily activities of the golf facility. He will provide services for grounds maintenance, pro shop, food concession and driving range. Reservations for the golf course, at the intersection of Wesleyan Drive and Northampton Boulevard, may be made by calling the pro shop at 459-2255. The city also operates Ocean View Golf Course in Norfolk and Stumpy Lake Golf Course in Virginia Beach. by CNB
