Dorothy Mae Beverley, 56, of the 3900 block of Ahoy Drive, died June 11, 1996, at Maryview Hospital. She was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C.
Survivors include four daughters, Pamela Mattis, Cynthia Beverley, Doris Johnson and Nanette Grace; two sons, Samuel Beverley and Derold Garbett; her mother, Joanna Suggs; five sisters, Nannie Burnham, Helen Coles, Patty Stokes, Betty Robinson and Ruth Blow; three brothers, Ernest Gray, Slick Gray and Jesse Gray; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. S.L. Carruth in Holy Light Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
