CORA V. NASH

Cora Virginia ``Dinkie'' Nash, 70, died Tuesday morning, June 11, 1996, in Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

She resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Bill and Betty White of 15 Christopher Court. She was born April 7, 1926, in Newport News, a daughter of the late George and Cecil Allen Mapes.

Survivors include four sons, William E. Wyrick of Jacksonville, Fla., Chap Nash Jr., Donald Ray Nash and George Robert Nash, all of Chesapeake; two daughters, Virginia M. McLawhorn and Betty J. White, both of Waynesboro; a brother, David H. Mapes of Chesapeake; five sisters, Virgie Shreves, Mary Fromal, Ada Mapes, Barbara Ann Wiggs, all of Chesapeake and Georgie Dickson of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chap Nash Sr.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Etter-Reynolds Funeral Service conducted by the Rev. Lewis Hensley. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Garden. Active pallbearers will be Mike Moyer, Terry Argenbright, Doug Argenbright, Brian Brooks, Dennis Edwards, and John White. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
