Marie Crockett Abbott, 90, widow of William E. Abbott, formerly of Water View, Va., died Wednesday, June 12, 1996, in Walter Reed Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Abbott, a homemaker, was born in Water View and was a resident of Gloucester County for over 35 years. She was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church and its Haywood Dorcas Sunday school class. She was a former member of the Hermitage Baptist Church, Church View.
Survivors include three daughters, Edith M. Norfolk of Gloucester, Lee A. Greenwell of Hampton and Margaret A. Pittman of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery, Church View, by the Rev. James B. Grimmer. Memorials may be made to Memorial Fund of Bellamy United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 907, Gloucester, Va. 23061. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
