Fred Lee ``Jack'' Robinson, 86, of the 2800 block of Shore Drive, died June 12, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mr. Robinson, a native of Greenville, S.C., retired from The Navy News in 1984 as publisher after 55 years of service. He was a Navy veteran and founder of the Virginia Boating Association, 1974. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)1000 San Francisco, Calif., and Order of Elks Lodge (NU)38, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Surman Robinson of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Linda Lee Masciola of Virginia Beach; a son, Cassey F. Robinson of Virginia Beach; a sister, James Leonard of Greenville; two brothers, Mitchell Robinson and Paul Robinson, both of Greenville; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Joe French in Rosewood Memorial Park. Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Ave. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
