Sidney L. Holloman Sr.

CHESAPEAKE - Sidney Lee Holloman Sr., 70, of the 200 block of Scarlett Drive, died June 10, 1996, at his residence.

Mr. Holloman was born in Harrellsville, N.C., and was the son of the late Aubra Clifton and Elsie Mae Wynns Holloman. He retired as a quality control inspector with Ford Motor Company Norfolk Assembly Plant in 1979 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Great Bridge Baptist Church. Mr. Holloman was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Bryant Holloman; two daughters and their husbands, Sherry Schucker and James E. Schucker and Sondra Koonce and Dr. Glenn L. Koonce, all of Chesapeake; two sons and their wives, Sidney Lee Holloman Jr. and Donna Holloman of Chesapeake and Skye Aubra Holloman and Romunza Holloman of Virginia Beach; a sister, Jean Dilday of Ahoskie, N.C.; two brother, A.C. Holloman of Harrellsville, N.C., and Howard Holloman of Ahoskie, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Jay and Kristen Schucker, Kelly and Crystal Holloman, Jeremy Showers, Star Holloman and Lance Boyd; and one great-grandchild, Kayla Jones.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Charles Moseley and the Rev. Frank Hughes. Interment will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
