Harvey Edward Williams Jr., 89, of the 5400 block of Lingle Lane, died June 12, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Williams, a retired plant foreman for Proctor and Gamble, was the widower of Fannie Mae Williams. He was a native and former resident of Portsmouth and a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine W. Decker of Richmond; a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Russell O. Williams of Marietta, Ga.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Russell O. Williams. The family will be at the Loving Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4320 Bruce Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23321.
