WILLIAM BOYKIN BALDWIN

William Boykin Baldwin, 93, of the 3800 block of Atlantic Ave., died June 13, 1996, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Baldwin was born in Norfolk and resided in Virginia Beach for many years. He attended the Norfolk Academy and graduated from Woodbury Forrest and the University of Virginia. He was a partner of Baldwin Brothers and Taylor, a Norfolk real estate firm started by his father and uncle. Mr. Baldwin served in the Navy during World War II. He was a former member of the Virginia Club, the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and the Princess Anne Country Club.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Elaise F. Baldwin; a sister, Mrs. J.I. Taylor; a brother, William Barton Baldwin of Norfolk; two daughters, Cary Wallace and her husband, Patrick, of Ashland, Va., and Betsy Staver and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsville, Va; and three grandsons.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday in the Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by Father Michael Breslin. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel.
