Regarding Charlise Lyles' article about the necessity of a woman's stealing infant formula (June 6): The WIC program (Women, Infants & Children) provides free infant formula, juice, cereal and other age-appropriate foods to pregnant women, breast-feeding moms and children under age 5 who meet the income (or lack thereof) criteria. For information, applicants need only call the local health department. This seems like a better solution than becoming a ``thief.''
