Betty Lou Moran, 71, died June 13, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mrs. Moran, the widow of Mr. John C. Moran, was a retired cashier from Exxon Oil Co. She was a native of Hinton, W.Va.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia C. and her husband, David Salmon, of San Diego, Calif., and Mary C. and her husband, Mark Salmon, of Virginia Beach; a son, Fred Hughes and his wife Sue of Northern Virginia; two sisters, Vauda Anderson of San Jose, Calif., and Joyce Odescalchi of Colonial Beach, Va.; a brother, William Shankland of Ronceverte, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Cynthia, Cheryl, Stephen, Charles, John, Sarah; and ``Woodie.''
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Warren Wilson in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. A visitation will be at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The family will gather at the home of the daughter at 5244 Fairfield Blvd., Virginia Beach, following the visitation.
