Andrew L. McGinnis, 23, of the 1500 block of City Park Ave., died June 12, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was born in Washington State. He was a yeoman with the U.S. Coast Guard. He participated in Operation Able Manner, Haiti 1995, on the Coast Guard Cutter ``Northland.'' He was a Catholic. He was a Norfolk Catholic Worker Volunteer, Partnership in Education, loved the outdoors and music.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie A. McGinnis; his mother and father, Leo P. and Molly A. Eells McGinnis; five sisters, Kathy McGinnis, Nancy McGinnis, Amy McGinnis, Anna McGinnis and Karen McGinnis; four brothers, Patrick McGinnis, Tim McGinnis, Toby McGinnis and Sam McGinnis, all of Seattle, Wash.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Twiford Colonial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. in Church of the Resurrection, Cedar Lane, Portsmouth. The funeral service will be held in Seattle on June 22, 1996.
