LOUIS M. PALMER SR.

Louis M. Palmer Sr., of the 2700 block of Vimy Ridge St., died June 12, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Palmer, a native of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., was in landscaping for NRHA. He was a member and trustee of Crusaders for Christ Deliverance. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Buelah Mae Palmer; four daughters, Darlene Love of Norfolk, Sharon Pugh, Monique Reese, and Tracey Gordon, all of Chesapeake; five sons, Oscar Ivy of Petersburg, Louis M. Palmer Jr. of Norfolk, Michael Palmer of Norfolk, Ronald Palmer of Chesapeake, Tony Palmer of New York; a sister, Helen Peters of Washington, D.C.; a brother, John D. Palmer of Norfolk; 35 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday by Bishop Anthony Moses in St. Andrews Temple. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Sunday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
