As a Democrat (and recent attendee at the state Democratic convention in Hampton), I have just voted in my first Republican primary.
I voted for Sen. John Warner because I believe this man votes his conscience and does not blindly follow just any old candidate named by his party. I also wanted to make sure Ollie North's and the Christian Coalition's candidate did not get the bid.
In his concession speech, James Miller claimed that ``the lopsided results were not a repudiation of Christian conservatives, gun enthusiasts or Oliver North.'' I beg to differ. Most people I talked to voted for Warner for exactly such repudiation.
