ODU TAKES VA. ALL-SPORT SURVEY: 64 PERCENT WINS

Old Dominion won more than 64 percent of its athletic contests in the 1995-96 school year to win the 18th annual Virginia Sports Information Directors Association all sports survey.

The survey of Division I schools was started for the 1978-79 season, and Old Dominion now has won seven of the first eight overall titles and two of the last three.

George Mason won the state's sole team national championship in men's indoor track and field.

The 12 state Division I schools garnered 27 conference championships. JMU and VCU led with four titles each.
