Octavio Figueroa Jr., gifted architect and artist, passed away on Memorial Day, May 30, 1996, in his residence studio, surrounded by many of his artworks and architectural illustrations.
Mr. Figueroa received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Florida in 1968 and was awarded the Citation of Merit as outstanding student in the Department of Architecture. He also received the award for Excellence in Architectural delineation.
For 25 years, Figueroa Doss, his studio in New York City, created illustrations for projects all over the world. His latest project was illustrations for the Attucks Theatre in downtown Norfolk.
Altmeyer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
