J. MURRAY ECHOLS

J. Murray Echols, 93, of the Lakewood area, died June 14, 1996, in a local health care facility.

A native of Bluefield, W. Va., Mr. Echols was a retired civil service painter. He was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Beulah E. Holderby, Ruth E. Wright, both of Virginia Beach, Lena E. Rockefeller of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Charles H. Smith III and the Rev. Francis Collias. Friends are invited to the Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, to view the body beginning today.
