The Rev. Robert Frank ``Bob'' Fones, 41, of the 3900 block of King St., died Saturday, June 15, 1996, in Portsmouth.

A native of Fairfax County, Va., he was a member and associate pastor of Western Branch Baptist Church. He was also pastor of youth and singles at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Shelley L. Fones; two sons, Garland Frank Fones and Carson Lindsey Frank Fones, both of Portsmouth; his mother, Nancy Hollis Fones and father, Garland F. Fones, both of Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Jeannie Owens of Manassas and Janice Yancey of Bealeton, Va.; and a brother, Larry Frank Fones of Catlett, Va.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Western Branch Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Bob Yarbrough and the Rev. George F. Mullinax. Burial will be in Stonewall Memorial Gardens, Manassas, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
