OLLIE M. BRYANT

Rev. Ollie Mae Bryant, of the 2000 block of Midway Ave., died June 16, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Rev. Bryant, a native of Norfolk County, was a member of First Baptist Church, Westmunden, Chesapeake. She was a member of the church's senior choir, (NU)2 choir, nurses unit, pastor's aid society, and an associate minister of the church. She was also a member of Tidewater Ministers Conference, NAACP, and chaplain at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, William E. Bryant Jr.; five daughters, Selma Bryant, Angela Taylor, Tonia Bryant, all of Chesapeake, Sandra Hexstall and Debra Joyner, both of Norfolk; five sons, Ernest Sawyer, Thomas Bryant, Timothy Bryant, Anthony Joyner and Andrew Joyner, all of Chesapeake; her mother, Susie R. Davis of Chesapeake; her father, Willie Davis of Norfolk; three sisters, Margaret Banks, Veronica Davis and Emma Williams, all of Chesapeake; two brothers, Willie Davis Jr. and Fredie Davis, both of Chesapeake; 28 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other surviving relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Dr. John L. Ashby in First Baptist Church, Westmunden. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be in the church Thursday at 11 a.m. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge.
