Hugh L. Kellum, 74, of the 8700 block of Granby St., died June 16, 1996, in his residence.
A native of Anderson, Ind., Mr. Kellum had retired from Jefferson Pilot as an insurance executive. He was the display director at Hofheimers Shoe Store at Wards Corner for 18 years. Mr. Kellum was a charter board member and officer of The World Affairs Council; a member of the Virginia Beach and Norfolk Executive Club, former member of The Forum, and a member of The Charles H. Consolvo Tent, Circus of Saints and Sinners.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Kellum; two sons, Leon Kellum of Chicago, Ill., Thomas Kellum of Houston, Texas.; a sister, Mrs. F.W. Straw; and two brothers, Maurice and Harvey Kellum, both of Anderson.
A chapel service will be conducted at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, by the Rev. J. Carl Baggott. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to DePaul Medical Center.
