MAILING IS CONFUSING, BUT SQUADS NEED HELP

Each year, the two volunteer rescue squads in Isle of Wight County send out a fund-raising letter requesting donations to help support their work. This year, many residents of Windsor received a solicitation from Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad by mistake.

Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, in Smithfield, serves the northern part of the county while Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad, located in the town of Windsor, serves the central and southern end of the county. The dividing line is approximately the area north of Central Hill, Orbit and Murphy Mill roads.

We both need your help! Isle of Wight and Windsor volunteer rescue squads often work together, sharing people and equipment to provide the best emergency medical service possible for our citizens, but we are independent organizations. We both need your positive response to our fund-raising efforts and both need your willingness to volunteer your time. There are many ways to help.

Thanks for your big and generous heart. The way you have supported EMS in the past has been wonderful.

If you are able to offer your gift of time or resources in the future, please contact us at: Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1802A S. Church St., Smithfield, Va. 23430; or Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 636, 17 E. Windsor Blvd., Windsor, Va. 23487.

We apologize for any misunderstanding our mailing error may have caused.
