Olivia L. Allen, 83, of the 3900 block of Newport Ave., died June 14, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Darlington County, S.C., she was the widow of Mervin L. Allen. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Henrietta M. Kelley of Norfolk; a sister, Rebecca G. Hankins of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Olivia Copes, Pamela Little, both of Norfolk; Sharon McCleod of Yorktown, Va.; Staff Sgt. Mervin Kelley of Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Annie Gibson and Cornelius Gibson.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by Dr. I. Joseph Williams in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service is handling arrangements. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at 3903 Newport Ave., Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Thursday for the funeral procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
