ELLA L. FARMER

Ella Rose Latham Farmer, 72, of the Maplewood Park section, died June 14, 1996, in Allison Park, Pa.

She retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station after 20 years of service.

Survivors include three daughters, Bertha Joyner of Elm City, N.C., Veta Farmer McCoy of Allison Park, Gloria Goodwyn of Columbia, S.C.; three sons, Wesley Farmer of Portsmouth, Marion Douglas Farmer of Maryland, Gerald Farmer of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Maxine Kelly of Elm City, N.C. and Cleo McKinnon of Chesapeake; two brothers, William Latham of Elm City, James Latham Avante of Wilson, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at 113 Ivey St., Portsmouth.
