MABEL OLGA BRADSHAW

Mabel Olga Austin Bradshaw, 76, died June 18, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Bradshaw, a native of Gates County, N.C., retired from Planters Peanuts as a lab technician. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Franklin, and its senior adults, faithful workers class, and Melvin Bradshaw Circle. She was a past member of United Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Lee ``Pete'' Bradshaw; a son, H. Ray Austin of Portsmouth; two sisters, Edna Bailey of Suffolk and Johnnie Mae Ashley of Gates County; three grandchildren, Stefanie Simonds, Kimberly Jones and Christopher Austin; and a great-grandchild, Kari Simonds.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Richard Peerey in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at 108 Jacquelyn Drive, Portsmouth. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
