Joseph Nathan ``Bro.'' Riddick, of the 1200 block of Fentress Road, died June 17, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Riddick, a native of Norfolk County, retired from the U.S. Naval Base P.W.C. He was a Methodist and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine S. Riddick; a daughter, Lori Ann Riddick of Chesapeake; two sons, Maurice Riddick of Chesapeake, Elliott Riddick of Mathews, Va.; four sisters, Minnie Riddick White, Calcedonia Ashe, Dora Griffin, all of Chesapeake, Gladys Overton of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a brother, Willie Riddick of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; a godson, Rev. Aubrey G. Mullen Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. John C. Smith in Centerville A.M.E. Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
